Uterine Bleeding
Abnormal uterine bleeding can have many causes. Treatment is individualized based on symptoms, exam, and your goals.
What we offer
- Trial of birth control pills: usually takes 3–6 months for improvement
- Depoprovera: contraceptive injection every 3 months
- Hormonal IUD containing progesterone (many types)
- Uterine ablation (2 methods) if no longer interested in pregnancy
- Hysterectomy if above fails
- Decision is based on the individual
