- First trimester ultrasound to establish due date
- Genetic testing and sex determination around 11 weeks
- Prenatal labs / pap smear / cultures
- 20 week ultrasound to check fetal anatomy
- Blood sugar screening at 24–28 weeks
- Aggressive use of antenatal steroids if preterm labor
- Birth plan discussed with patient and partner
- Ultrasound at 37 weeks to assess fetal health
- Expectant management based on gestational age and exam
- Deliver by 41 weeks 3 days because of increase in fetal risks
- Ability to deliver normally is based on several factors: height of patient, weight of patient, and size of infant
